Watch Brooklyn’s Finest

A headline on “Brooklyn’s Finest” at one point asking that the city and the police are out of control. Not only are the police out of control, so this film is that, surprisingly, was created by Antoine Fuqua. In previous action films and police Fuqua can invoke the genre conventions with a balanced examination of the lives of his characters, stylized action rooted in reality enough. But here, in large part due to a highly derivative script, director, more reckless, unprofessional police driving in the movie complete nonsense.

With an exceptionally strong cast of actor-stars to do everything possible to deceive the police and the feeling of action sufficient to satisfy the fans, “Brooklyn’s Finest” has an audience. How do they respond to the relentless gloom, implausible story lines is a different matter.

The script by Michael C. Martin and Brad Caleb Kane flows burned police stories, which began with Joseph Wambaugh’s early novels in the 70’s and crosses the police apparently dirty movies forever. But none of this comes with a sense of authenticity. In each of the three stories take place simultaneously, an agent has lost sight of their work is blissfully ignorant of his own irrationality.

The stories take place in – and credit to Fuqua been filmed – some of the worst parts of East Brooklyn. If the film had shootings near everyday experience, sometimes by the police of completely innocent people, sometimes in countless drug raids. Certainly, the line between good and evil is vague, anyway.

Eddie (Richard Gere), has seven days on the job – Yes, the film dares to raise this old story – what it means to come through drinks and a visit to his favorite prostitute (Shannon Kane). The movie is not what really worked in years.

Tango (Don Cheadle) wants in its three years of undercover assignment because his wife has left him. It is not easy. Finally, his superior (Will Patton) and a federal agent ridiculously difficult (Ellen Barkin) to propose that became his best friend, CAS drug dealer (Wesley Snipes), an office job to win.

Salt (Ethan Hawke), who works in narcotics, has five children and a wife (Lili Taylor), pregnant with twins. Desperate to move his family from a busy stop the fungus-infected wood, stealing the drug money as possible. With every drug bust, he rolls bills, and is especially bad Currier drug murder of his loot to steal.

How can one of these people doomed to be a cop, you may ask. More to the point, like any police turn their eyes to the officers, clearly upset? His corruption and failures too light. Hell, even talk to his fellow policemen and cynicism about their crimes.

The movie ends three stories in a huge spread in an offense that is illogical. There should be no surprise, given the “low” heroes of the film, the film nausea only in the store for everyone. The film appears to be bleak as a mark of honor, ignoring the absurdity of each story line. Sometimes dark can be a good cop, “as a happy ending.

The film is very well done and all the background details of the atmosphere of death, the community outrage about police misconduct and hostility havoc at all levels of society actually feel. This is what happens in the land that rings false.
